A couple quick things before I head down to the clubhouse.
I wrote in my three thoughts blog about Brian Dozier being the igniter. One thing I failed to mention was that he's tied for second on the team with 25 RBI and leads the AL with 40 runs scored. He's setting and clearing the table. He's a bus rider and bus driver.
Also I've been writing about how Ron Gardenhire wants a four-man bench when he goes to National League parks this week. Well, the designated hitter will be on the bench as the fourth man. He's been seeking a fifth bench player, and will call one up after today's game. The guess here is Chris Herrmann will get the call.
Will check back soon with updates. Happy Sid Hartman Day!!!!
UPDATES
Sam Fuld feels better today. Not great, but better. He needs to be symptom-free before he can attempt some baseball-related activities, but he's not quite there yet.
The media conference room at Target Field has been renamed the Sid Hartman Press Conference Room. Sid is about to throw out the first pitch, which should be entertaining.
