Twins minor league catcher Kerby Camacho has been slapped with a 60-game suspension by Major League Baseball for testing positive for a metabolite of Nadrolone, performance-enhancing drug.
Camacho, an 11th-round draft pick this year from the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy in Puerto Rico, batted .093 with one home run and five RBI for the Twins' Gulf Coast rookie league team.
He will not be paid during the suspension, which begins at the start of the 2016 GCL season. Keep in mind that the GCL Twins played 59 games last season, so Camacho's development will take a big hit.
