A crash involving the bus that was taking Twins' minor-league players from Fort Myers, Fla., to their rookie league team in Elizabethton, Tenn., resulted in the death early Tuesday of the driver of a car that was driving the wrong way on an Interstate highway in Jacksonville, Fla.
Nobody on the team's bus was injured, and a second bus picked up the players to continue their trip to Tennessee.
According to the Florida Times-Union web site, 28-year-old Corshane Brown was driving south in a northbound line on Interstate Hwy. 295 in Jacksonville when the crash took place at 4:25 a.m. Brown was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
In an email, Twins communications director Dustin Morse wrote: "All of our players and our bus driver are okay. The bus company had another bus brought in and they are back on the road"

Morse wrote: "Police were on the scene almost immediately as they had received a call of a car going the wrong way on the highway and were headed that way."
The Elizabethton Twins include many players who were taken in baseball's amateur draft earlier this month. The team is scheduled to open its season Thursday night.
