Just a few quick notes at the end of a road trip:

The Twins regret handing the Red Sox extra outs in the fifth inning, when they scored five runs and held on to win. But they still finished the road trip with a 4-3 record. ``You'd like to get greedy when you have a chance," Twins manager Paul Molitor said. ``We weren't able to do it."

Max Kepler and Eddie Rosario had their moments in the series. Kepler tripled in back-to-back games here and hit .357 against Boston in the season series. Rosario was 4-for-4 on Saturday and reached base a fifth time when he was hit by a pitch.

With Trevor Plouffe not expect anytime soon because of a broken rib, Miguel Sano will continue to play at third. He spent the weekend talking about how bad he feels about making errors, but his actions need to back that up.

Rob Antony was on a plane to Detroit right after learning that Terry Ryan was fired and he was the interim GM. The official announcement was made to employees on Monday while he was out of town. So, on Monday, Antony is going to speak to the baseball department for the first time since stepping in for Ryan.

Since starting the season 11-34, the Twins have gone 26-27.
