Denard Span is back in the lineup after banging into the wall on Monday and getting Tuesday off.

The battery of Carl Pavano and Drew Butera is together once again. Pavano is shooting for back-to-back wins.

Will return later this afternoon with updates.

UPDATES: Justin Morneau is back from a visit to the Cleveland Clinic to have his wrist (tendonitis) examined. The specialist there agreed with the Twins' diagnosis but did give Morneau a cortisone shot. .

Morneau will try to swing a bat on Saturday. He's scheduled to come off the disabled list on Wednesday, when the Twins begin a road trip to Detroit. The Twins are hopeful that No. 33 will be on that trip.

Reliever Kyle Waldrop (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Class A Fort Myers on Saturday.

Jared Burton hasn't allowed a hit to the last 35 batters he's faced. Wow.
