Twins righthander Kyle Gibson has not won a game since his first start of the season. With an improving offense behind him, Gibson has a chance to pick up the elusive second win

If the Twins can have another good day at the plate and get a solid outing from their starting pitcher, they can pull off something they haven't done in a while.

The Twins have not won a four-game series at Target Field since July 9-12 against Detroit..

This one would carry more weight because it would come against Cleveland, their AL Central foe. It would get them within five games of .500 and 3.5 games out of first place. Getting to .500 is more important, to me. It's hard to take a sub-.500 team seriously.

Indians rightahander Mike Clevinger is 1-2 with a 3.74 in eight games (five starts) against the Twins. Miguel Sano, Max Kepler and Brian Dozier all have hit home runs against him.

Clevinger has a 1.51 ERA in two road starts.

Twins righthander Kyle Gibson is still looking for his second win of the season. His only win came during the season opening series in Baltimore. Yes, that long. The Twins are swinging the bats better, so maybe he has a chance to land in the left-hand column today.
