Tubby Smith and Ben Howland: One awkward moment in the postgame video

The former coaches were part of the traditional CBS video montage. Was it really one of the tournament's shining moments?

It's one of those guilty pleasures of the NCAA tournament, sticking around until the very, very end of the broadcast to watch the CBS video montage with the Luther Vandross rendition of One Shining Moment.

Is your team going to be represented?

Well, former Gophers coach Tubby Smith and former UCLA coach Ben Howland made this year's video, which by any measure would run counter to the notion of a shining moment.

That is, until you hear the lyric when their postgame handshake was featured after the Gophers beat the Bruins.

Go to the 56 second mark if you don't want to watch the whole thing (again)

Mean? Awkward? Sad? Funny? Truth as the best defense?
