MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken North Carolina State point guard Lorenzo Brown with the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the NBA draft.

The Wolves chose Brown after an eventful first round that saw them trade No. 9 pick Trey Burke to Utah for 14th overall pick Shabazz Muhammad and 21st pick Gorgui Dieng. They also traded the 26th pick and Malcolm Lee to Golden State for cash considerations and a future second-round pick.

Brown averaged 12.4 points and 7.2 assists per game for the Wolfpack as a junior last season.
