Tim Brewster gets assistant's job at Mississippi State

Former University of Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster will be Mississippi State's new receivers coach.

The Jackson Clarion-Ledger is reporting that former University of Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster will be hired as Mississippi State's new receivers coach.

The newspaper's web site reports: "Brewster replaces Angelo Mirando, who resigned Sunday for "unforeseen personal issues." MSU officials will not elaborate on the motivating factor behind Mirando's sudden departure, which was announced less than two weeks before the start of the season."

Brewster, who had a 15-30 record with the Gophers from 2007-2010, is expected to be on the school's campus later today. last season, he was a sideline reporter for FOX Sports.
