Charles' 22 points, 12 rebounds lead Liberty over Sun, 64-57

NEW YORK (AP) -- Tina Charles had 22 points and 12 rebounds for her sixth double-double and New York beat Connecticut 64-57 on Thursday night to extend the Sun's losing streak to five games.

Epiphanny Prince added 10 points for New York (9-5) while Kiah Stokes had seven points, eight rebounds and eight blocks -- breaking the franchise record of six.

Prince made a jumper to give New York a 62-54 lead -- its largest of the game -- with 5:28 remaining. Connecticut scored three points the rest of the way.

Alex Bentley led Connecticut (7-6) with 15 points. Kelsey Bone and Shekinna Stricklen added 11 apiece.

DREAM 76, SPARKS 72

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Angel McCoughtry scored 22 points and Aneika Henry made the go-ahead basket with 29 seconds left as Atlanta earned its second road win.

Henry's putback of a miss by McCoughtry miss gave Atlanta a 74-72 lead. Los Angeles' Jantel Lavender missed a long jumper with 2.7 seconds left and McCoughtry made two free throws to seal it.

Henry finished with 16 points for Atlanta (7-8) which extended its winning streak against Los Angeles to five games.

Lavender recorded her eighth double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles (2-12) while Nneka Ogwumike added 19 points and six rebounds.
