Three Twins postgame thoughts from LEN3: Arcia, bullpen, Florimon injury

The Twins are 16-15 after winning three of four games at Boston. And just think that their one loss was in extra innings.

Three quick thoughts following the Twins win over the Red Sox:

1. ARCIA IS GOING NOWHERE: Oswaldo Arcia batted .424 on the road trip and has hits in the last seven games he's played in. He's adjusting to game situations. He's hitting mistakes. He tripled and homered tonight. It's safe to say he's in the lineup until he cools off or needs a break. The player who suffers is Chris Parmelee, who hasn't be able to get going at the plate.

2. BULLY FOR BULLPEN: Brian Duensing threw 1.2 innings of strong relief. Jared Burton got three strikeouts in the eighth, but had to pick up Eduardo Escobar, who committed an error on a routine double play grounder. Glen Perkins had to face Dustin Pedroia and Big Papi with a runner on first. He struck out Pedroia looking (which Pedroia objected to) and got Ortiz to ground hard to Morneau to end the game. Another strong effort by the bullpen. ``It's comforting when you have a lead and you have those guys coming in after you," said righthander Kevin Correia, who left the game after 5.1 innings and 99 pitches.

3.INJURY REPORT: Shortstop Pedro Florimon injured his right hamstring when he landed on the first base bag in the seventh while trying to beat out a hit. That led to Escobar's appearance. Florimon said he thinks he's going to be O.K. but wasn't sure how much he would test it on Friday. It will be interesting to see if the Twins go day-to-day with him or put him on the DL.
