Of all the QBs to start games for the Vikings in recent years, it is truly surprising that not only did Sage Rosenfels never start a regular-season game for the Vikings, he never even threw a regular-season pass.
He was perhaps the biggest victim of Favre-mania; T-Jack already had his big chance in 2008. Sage was brought in to battle with him in 2009. Then Favre came and trumped them both. Sage was dealt to the Giants, then landed with Miami ... and then landed back here on Friday.
In any event, his return gives us an unexpected chance to revisit one of our favorite stories from the past couple of years -- when the Vikings very probably Photoshopped a picture of Brett Favre's head onto Sage Rosenfels' body for the 2010 official team photos.
