One of many classic lines from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" goes like this: My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
And here is your Johnny Manziel equivalent -- a story at ESPNCleveland.com quoting CBS's Jim Nantz thusly:
"I can say this, he's going to be the guy everyone wants to see. I've heard this rumor for a month -- the Cowboys will figure out a way to get Manziel."
And now Fox Sports and SI.com, among others, have picked it up as a report. Dallas picks No. 16 overall, so that's going to be some major wheeling and dealing!
