The Astros were ahead 6-2 in the 8th inning of Game 4 of the ALDS on Monday against the Royals, just six outs from winning the series.
Perhaps to some — or at least one person in the office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott — a four-run lead seemed like an insurmountable sum. And so that person sent out a congratulatory tweet from the office's account about the Astros advancing to the ALCS.
Whoops! The Royals, of course, stormed back to win 9-6 and force a Game 5 on Wednesday in Kansas City.
