Sylvia Fowles is Western Conference player of the week -- again

While helping the undefeated Lynx to a 2-0 record in the week, Fowles averaged 25.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in road victories over Dallas and Washington.

Lynx center Sylvia Fowles was named Western Conference player of the week in games played through Sunday. It was her third such award in four weeks this WNBA season.

While helping the undefeated Lynx to a 2-0 record in the week, Fowles averaged 25.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in road victories over Dallas and Washington.

Fowles had 21 points and 11 rebounds in Friday's victory over the Mystics. Sunday against Dallas she had 30 points and nine rebounds, tying her highest point total with the Lynx.It was the eighth 30-point game of her career.

Fowles leads the WNBA in shooting (66.1 percent) and is second in scoring (21.9), rebounding (10.1) and blocks (1.9).

New York's Tina Charles was named player of the week in the Eastern Conference.
