There's bright sunshine in East Lansing, but snow remains on the upper bleachers of Spartan Stadium. It's only 34 degrees, and not supposed to get much warmer than 40 today. Football weather, for sure.
"We actually don't mind the cold so much," said backup offensive lineman Ryan Wynn. "It's the hot weather that can get tough to deal with."
The Gophers, hoping to break their eight-game losing streak, are in white jerseys, with maroon pants and helmets, if you're keeping track. As Adam Weber said, "some people get really worked up about that stuff."
It sounds like sophomore Austin Hahn will make his first start today against 8-1 Michigan State, filling in for suspended captain Brandon Kirksey. That move allows Anthony Jacobs to go back outside, with redshirt freshman Kendall Gregory-McGhee coming off the bench.
