Sun Country Airlines has created a new executive-level position dedicated to attracting and keeping talented employees.

Mia Mulrennan has been hired to serve as the airline's chief talent officer, the company announced Tuesday. The position also comes with a vice president title. Mulrennan will report directly to Sun Country's president and chief executive, Zarir Erani.

Mulrennan has experience in talent management, most recently serving as chief executive of Rave-Worthy, LLC, a firm that helps companies seek top-tier employees in the service and hospitality industry.

With a doctorate in clinical psychology, she has also held adjunct faculty positions at the University of St. Thomas, St. Catherine's University and Georgetown University.

"We are eagerly looking forward to Mia's contributions in terms of building the appropriate frameworks to enrich the talent at Sun Country," Erani said, in a news release.

She begins working for Mendota Heights-based Sun Country Tuesday.
