Hollywood BFFs Steve Martin and Martin Short are promising a capstone evening that’s a big honking deal.
The actors/comedians/music mavens Steve Martin and Martin Short are coming back to Minnesota in 2026. The duo’s “Best of Steve Martin and Martin Short” tour will be on Feb. 28 at the Orpheum Theatre.
They will be joined by keyboardist Jeff Babko, who performs on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers, which has been collaborating with Martin since 2009.
Martin and Short currently star in the Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building,” which kicks off its fifth season Tuesday. They have worked together onscreen for three decades, including in “Three Amigos” and “Father of the Bride.”
They also have performed in numerous live shows together. They brought their “An Evening You’ll Forget for the Rest of Your Life” to the Orpheum in 2017 and performed “Dukes of Funnytown” at the same venue in 2022.
Tickets for “the best” tour go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at hennepinarts.org and at noon at the State Theatre Box Office (805 Hennepin Av., Mpls.).
