St. Paul Pioneers win national amateur football title

The St. Paul Pioneers defeated the Texas Bullets 41-14 Saturday in Daytona Beach, Fla., to win the USA Bowl Spring/Summer National Championship.
It was the third national amateur title for the Pioneers, 12-1, since 2009.
The Bullets were 17-0 and champions of the Texas United Football League. They averaged more than 40 points a game before meeting the Pioneers.
