A slightly edited news release from St. Cloud State's sports information director: St. Cloud State pushed its win streak to six-games with a two-game sweep at Quinnipiac by scores of 3-1 and 3-2 last weekend. The victories pushed the Huskies' overall record to 14-7-3 and WCHA mark to 9-5-2. In the most recent pairwise rankings, SCSU moved up to sixth. The Huskies have a home-home series against Minnesota next. The Gophers play at the National Hockey Center on Friday and at 5 p.m. Saturday at Mariucci. That game will be part of Fox Sports North's annual Hockey Day Minnesota activities, which will include a day-long of televised hockey games at the high school, college and pro levels. The Huskies own the second longest active win streak in NCAA hockey at six games. It began Jan. 2 with a victory over Brown. NOTEWISE * SCSU's penalty kill rate of 89-of-103 (86.4%) ranks 10th in the nation. * SCSU ranks 11th in the nation with a 2.38 goals against average this season. * SCSU junior goaltender Dan Dunn is third among NCAA Division I goalies with a .800 win rate this season. He improved to 8-2-0 with a 3-1 victory at Quinnipiac on Friday when he had 21 saves. His .926 save rate this season ranks seventh in the nation and his 2.10 goals against average is eighth. * Senior Garrett Raboin has four goals, including one shorthanded, in the last five games. SCSU currently leads the nation with eight SHGs this season. * Junior Garrett Roe owns a six-game point scoring streak and also leads the team with 22 points and 16 assists. * Nine players have 10-or-more points this season for the Huskies. * Senior forward Ryan Lasch became just the fifth Husky in team history to score 70 career goals last weekend. Lasch posted a power play goal against Quinnipiac, which was his team leading 11th goal of the season. Lasch now has 32 power play goals in his career, which ranks second best in team history along with Mark Hartigan, who also had 32 PPGs from 1999-01. Lasch also ranks fourth in team history with 154 points. * Freshman David Eddy hit a career game-high with his two goals against Quinnipiac on Saturday. In his first year with the Huskies, Eddy now has five goals and seven assists for 12 points * Freshman goalie Mike Lee had 35 saves in SCSU's 3-2 victory on Saturday. Lee's record is 6-5-3. He has a .917 save rate and a 2.47 goals against average. * SCSU has been outshot this season 706-666 by its opponents this season, but at the same time, SCSU has outscored its opponents 71-57 this season. SCSU has outscored its opponents 28-14 on the power play this season.
