Sooners honor Tisdale in defeating Texas NATION

• OKLAHOMA 80, NO. 9 TEXAS 71: Tommy Mason-Griffin scored 24 points, Cade Davis added 20 points and 10 rebounds for the second double-double of his career and the host Sooners (13-9, 4-4 Big 12) beat the Longhorns on Saturday in a game dedicated to the memory of late Sooners star Wayman Tisdale. The Longhorns (19-4, 5-3) cut a 19-point second-half deficit to five in the final 2 minutes but were hampered the whole game by free-throw shooting woes that have been an Achilles' heel all season. Texas made just 10 of its 27 foul shots and went 4-for-11 in the second half.

• NO. 1 KANSAS 75, NEBRASKA 64: Cole Aldrich scored six points during a 16-1 run and the host Jayhawks (22-1, 8-0 Big 12) used a big second half to beat the Cornhuskers and stretch their home winning streak to 55. The heavily favored Jayhawks led almost the entire first half, but Nebraska charged out after the break on a 10-2 tear. When Jorge Brian Diaz worked inside for a bucket that gave the Cornhuskers a 43-39 lead, Kansas called timeout and Sherron Collins immediately hit a three-pointer. A Nebraska turnover gave the ball back to Kansas, and Aldrich, saddled with three fouls, had a putback to get the take-charge run off and running. Diaz had 20 points.

• NO. 10 DUKE 66, BOSTON COLLEGE 63: Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith scored 21 points apiece to lead the Blue Devils (19-4, 7-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) past the host Eagles (12-11, 3-6). Boston College cut a 10-point halftime deficit to 64-63 on Reggie Jackson's long three-pointer with 16 seconds left. Scheyer was fouled and made both free throws before BC's Joe Trapani put a long three-point attempt off the front of the rim at the buzzer.

• RICHMOND 71, NO. 19 TEMPLE 54: Kevin Anderson scored 16 of his 29 points in a blistering first half for Richmond. The host Spiders (18-6, 7-2 Atlantic 10) shot 77 percent in the first half against one of the nation's top defensive teams. Lavoy Allen had 17 points and 19 rebounds for the Owls (19-5, 7-2).

• NO. 10 KANSAS STATE 79, IOWA STATE 75: Denis Clemente scored a season-high 30 points, including six three-pointers, and the visiting Wildcats (19-4, 6-3 Big 12) extended their winning streak over the Cyclones (13-10, 2-6) to eight games.

• GEORGIA 72, NO. 18 VANDERBILT 58: Travis Leslie scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half and the host Bulldogs rallied to beat the Commodores. Georgia (10-11 overall, 2-6) appeared bound for its fourth consecutive Southeastern Conference loss when it trailed 36-28 early in the second half. The Bulldogs stopped turning over the ball and rallied to give Vanderbilt (17-5, 6-2) its second loss in its last 13 games.

• NEVADA-LAS VEGAS 88, No. 12 BYU 74: Junior guard Tre'Von Willis had a career-high 33 points to lead the host Runnin' Rebels (19-4, 7-2) over the Cougars and into a first-place tie with BYU (22-3, 7-2) in the Mountain West Conference. Jimmer Fredette led the Cougars with 21 points.

• NO. 17 GONZAGA 66, MEMPHIS 58: Matt Bouldin scored 19 points and the visiting Bulldogs (19-4) pulled away at the end, closing the game with an 8-1 run. Wesley Witherspoon led the Tigers (16-7) with 26 points, hitting eight of his 11 shots, including four of six three-pointers. Elliot Williams finished with 11 points for the Tigers, who lost their second game in the past three.

• TEXAS A&M 78, NO. 20 BAYLOR 71: Bryan Davis scored 22 points and B.J. Holmes hit three late three-pointers to lead the host Aggies (17-6, 6-3 Big 12) past the Bears (17-5, 4-4). Texas A&M , the Big 12's worst three-point-shooting team, stayed true to form for most of the game, finishing 4-for-18 from behind the arc. But Holmes made threes with 5:19 and 4:52 remaining, bringing the Aggies within one point each time.

• ST. THOMAS 58, CARLETON 55: Alex Healy scored 13 points to help the host Tommies, ranked No. 5 in Division III, rally for their eighth consecutive victory and at least a share of their fifth consecutive conference title. Jeremy Sutherland scored 16 points to lead the Knights, who had a six-game winning streak ended. Carleton led by 12 in the first half.

• HAMLINE 66, GUSTAVUS 63: Carl Hipp had 29 points and 12 rebounds to lead the host Pipers past the Gusties. Hipp was 11-for-13 from the field. Ray Brown added 20 points for the Pipers.

• BETHEL 86, ST. OLAF 72: Rob Lang scored 18 points and Greg Meyer and Nate Robertson each added 16 points, leading the host Royals past the Oles. Bobby Fong scored 24 for the Oles.

• AUGSBURG 71, MACALESTER 68: Jon Cassens scored 18 points and David Olson scored 16 to help the host Auggies outlast the Scots. Pierce Peters scored 18 to lead the Scots.

• CONCORDIA (MOORHEAD) 63, ST. JOHN'S 63: John Fraase's double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds helped the host Cobbers hold off the Johnnies. Todd Herman's 20 points led the Johnnies.

• MSU MANKATO 92, MSU MOORHEAD 73: Travis Nelson scored 24 points to lead the conference-leading Mavericks past the visiting Dragons. Jefferson Mason added 18 points for the Mavericks (21-1, 14-1 NSIC). Jake Driscoll scored 19 to lead the Dragons (7-15, 4-11).
