Nittany Lions rally past Spartans

• PENN STATE 5, MICHIGAN STATE 2: Casey Bailey scored two goals and had an assist to lead the Nittany Lions (11-7-3, 5-2-1) to a victory over the visiting Spartans (7-11-2, 1-3-2-1). Michigan State took a 2-1 lead before Penn State rallied on goals by Nate Jensen and David Goodwin 2 minutes, 21 seconds apart in the second period.

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, FERRIS STATE 1: Trailing 1-0, the No. 1 Mavericks (18-4-1, 15-2-1 WCHA) scored three times in the third period against the host Bulldogs (11-13-1, 8-8). Carter Foguth's first goal of the season at 11:28 was the winner.

• NORTH DAKOTA 5, NIAGARA 0: Mark MacMillan and Michael Parks each scored twice as No. 3 UND (16-5-2) beat the visiting Knights (3-17-2).

• DENVER 4, ST. CLOUD STATE 1: The No. 13 Pioneers (13-7-1, 6-5) broke a 1-all tie against the visiting Huskies (9-12-1, 4-7-1) on Danton Heinen goal at 6:50.
