The Sioux City Explorers eliminated the Saints in the first round of the American Association playoffs, riding a two-run fifth to a 2-1 victory in Game 4 of their best-of-five series Sunday at CHS Field.

Former Twin Rene Tosoni and Noah Perio had RBI for the Explorers off Saints starter Robert Coe.

Vinny DiFazio drove in the Saints' run in the sixth.

St. Paul had perhaps its best chance at a rally when it put two runners on in the seventh, but couldn't tie it as Nate Hanson was thrown out at the plate on Alonzo Harris' single to right field.

FSN reporter leaving network

Fox Sports North sideline reporter Jamie Hersch said Sunday was her last day on the regional network, wrapping up her tenure in Chicago, where the Twins were wrapping up a series with a victory over the White Sox.

"Today is my last day at FSN," Hersch, a 2005 graduate of Champlin Park, said on Twitter late Sunday morning. "I'm starting a new chapter which I'll announce in the next couple weeks. So excited but sad to leave."

Hersch declined after signing off Sunday to confirm the specifics of her career move.
