The only certainties in this life, the saying goes, are death and taxes.

Sidney Lowe is reportedly trying to cheat one of them.

According to WRAL Sports in North Carolina, Lowe, a former Timberwolves player, assistant coach and head coach who is currently an assistant with the NBA's Jazz, was arrested today for failing to file his state income taxes in 2009, 2010 and 2011. He faces three misdemeanor counts as well as a $10,000 bond and has a court date in March.

He was the head coach at NC State, his alma mater, before accepting a buyout of his contract after the 2010-11 season. The Wolfpack were only 25-55 in conference play during his coaching time there, leading one sarcastic fan board commenter to pen this gem: You have to pay taxes on your wages, regardless of whether or not you earned them.

He was 33-102 during his time as Wolves head coach and 79-228 overall as an NBA head coach.

Randle was a strong candidate to play in the All-Star Game on Sunday, but was not chosen and will head to the beach instead.
