With hours left till a voting deadline city officials in Red Wing were busy stumping for votes to get their city selected for Deluxe Corp.'s Small Business Revolution - Main Street: Season 2.

Last year Shoreview-based Deluxe ran an eight episode series on the small business revitalization efforts in the small town of Wabash, Indiana. Deluxe donated $500,000 to showcase six small businesses in Wabash and the city's economic development efforts.

Deluxe is traditionally known for its check printing and financial forms. But as part of its 100th anniversary in 2015 Deluxe created the Small Business Revolution to showcase 100 small businesses across the country with photo essays, videos and a half hour documentary.

In 2016 Deluxe produced and published the Main Street series on Wabash. The content marketing effort told the personal stories of six small businesses in Wabash while also promoting Deluxe' s small business services including logo design, print marketing, website design and online marketing.

For the second season of the show Deluxe received nominations from 14,000 communities looking to win the $500,000 and choose five finalists: Red Wing, Bristol Borough, Penn.; Georgetown, SC; Kingsburg, Calif. and North Adams, Maine.

Votes are being accepted through Thursday and the winner will be announced on Feb. 22.
