There's another big event happening in Northeast Minneapolis this weekend, but decadent cravings will be driving many to BT McElrath's annual chocolate sale. Almond toffee, truffle balls and various candies at 30 to 70% off from the locally-lauded chocolatier keeps me coming back every year. Some of the items are seconds and imperfects and they go fast too.

The sale runs from 3-7 p.m. Friday and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at 2010 E. Hennepin Ave., Mpls.

Go for the chocolate, and while you're in the 'hood, there's music, food and art to tempt you to stay a while.

Some say the MAHA movement and GLP-1 drugs hurt sugar beet farmers. The White House is blaming former President Joe Biden.
