Rain in Chicago leads to Saturday Twins-White Sox doubleheader

September 13, 2014 at 3:31AM

CHICAGO – It rained off and on during the day Friday, with 80 percent chance of rain around game time. So the Twins' game against the White Sox was postponed and will be made up on Saturday as part of a true doubleheader.

The first game will start at 3:10 p.m. with the goal of starting the second game approximately 20 minutes after the first game ends. Both games will be televised on FSN.

It will be the Twins' fifth doubleheader of the season and their second in three days.

Milone pushed back

Lefthander Tommy Milone, who was skipped in the rotation his last time up because of a tied arm, will start Monday against the Tigers instead of Saturday against the White Sox. After playing catch Wednesday, Milone came down with a sore neck.

Rookie lefthander Logan Darnell will start Game 2 Saturday instead of Milone. If Milone can't go Monday, Anthony Swarzak will start, with the bullpen on high alert.
