A man who grabbed a 12-year-old girl off a Minneapolis street and raped her in his vehicle was sentenced to more than six years in prison.
Danylo Boldon, 25, of Minneapolis was sentenced Tuesday in Hennepin County District Court after pleading guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct stemming from the assault in October 2024.
With credit for time in jail after his arrest, Boldon is expected to serve about 6¾ years in prison and the balance of the 11-year term on supervised release.
A missing-person report on Oct. 8, 2024, sent police to the 5200 block of 34th Avenue S. in search of a 12-year-old girl.
Around 3 a.m. the next day, police were called about someone ringing a home’s doorbell multiple times. Officers went to the address and found the girl.
The girl said she was walking to a gas station late at night when a stranger grabbed her, put her in a car and drove around with her until dropping her off at a fast-food restaurant on Hiawatha Avenue S., about a mile from where she was abducted.
During a medical exam, the girl said the man raped her in the car. The exam revealed a fresh bruise and a scrape on her body.
