Postgame: Segura, Gibson and interleague rivarly games

The Twins lost 6-2 to Milwaukee on Monday, a loss that sent them to last place in the AL Central.

Here are three thoughts following the Twins' 6-2 loss to Milwaukee

JEAN SEGURA: I'm a Segura fan. I like both facets of his game, and he should become a very good offensive player once he gets more at-bats and learns to walk a few more times. On Monday, he made Trevor Plouffe pay for dropping back on him at third with a nice bunt single. He also helped turn two two nice double plays. I just think he's going to be a force in the NL Central for years.

KYLE GIBSON: I don't think he's a home-only pitcher. He was on a good roll until Segura's bunt got things started in the fourth. He threw his worst pitch of the night in the fifth on Mark Reynolds' homer. Then he came back with a scoreless sixth inning. "At the end of the day, I was a couple good pitches from having a pretty good outing," he said. "Unfortunately, I feel like I could have gone two more innings. That's the thing about the NL, you've got to have a lead." His ERA is almost 8.00 on the road, but he didn't pitch that bad on Monday.

INTERLEAGUE RIVALRY SERIES: The league has ruined a good thing. When the Twins and Brewers play on weekends, I-94 is packed with fans driving between the cities. The stadiums are full -- and loud. On Monday, attendance was announced at 28,708 -- and it was a boring crowd, considering the Brewers are in first place. MLB, please put these regional rivalry series back on two separate weekends instead of weekdays. By the way, the Twins fell to last place in the AL Central with the loss tonight.

USELESS STAT: For the first time in 469 career plate appearances, Eduardo Escobar on Monday grounded into a double play.
