Jurors in the fraud trial of Tom Petters adjourned late Monday afternoon without reaching a verdict and will return at 9 a.m. today for their fourth day of deliberations.

The jury of seven women and five men returned to work Monday morning after taking off part of last week for a long Thanksgiving weekend. They have met for a total of 17 hours since the case was given to them on Nov. 23.

Petters is being tried on 20 counts of mail and wire fraud, as well as conspiracy and money laundering. He faces up to life in prison for his alleged role in a $3.65 billion Ponzi scheme.
