SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Jia Perkins scored 32 points and the San Antonio Stars beat the Seattle Storm 88-81 on Saturday night.

Perkins was 11 of 18 from the floor, 8 of 8 from the line and had five assists in the game between the two worst teams in the Western Conference. Kayla McBride added 20 points and Sophia Young-Malcolm had 14.

San Antonio (7-16) got a 3-pointer early from McBride and jumped out to an 18-6 lead. McBride's 3 just before the end of the first made it 27-10, and the Stars led at the half 43-34.

Seattle (5-17) used a 14-5 run at the start of the third to draw even at 48, but San Antonio responded with an 8-2 spurt and led by five at the end of the quarter. Jewell Loyd's jumper cut it to three, but Seattle got no closer down the stretch.
