Cretin-Derham Hall was up by five points with less than six minutes left against Woodbury on Friday night in boys' basketball, but the lead was suddenly in jeopardy.

Daniel Oturu, the Raiders' center, had left the game because of a cramp in his right leg.

Unfortunately for the Royals, Oturu, who verbally committed Thursday to attend the University of Minnesota, quickly returned, sparking an 18-7 run en route to a 89-73 win.

"They made a run so I needed to respond real quick so my team wouldn't get down too quick," said Oturu, who scored 33 points. "Everybody came to watch us win. We weren't just going to lose."

Gophers coach Richard Pitino was among those in attendance.

"I just felt our defense was the difference tonight," Raiders coach Jerry Kline Jr. said. "Creating the tough shots and us being able to execute on the other end led us to finish that game off."

Michael Jones led Woodbury with 26 points.

Apple Valley 76, Farmington 75 (OT): Tre Jones made a shot at the overtime buzzer to help the Class 4A, No. 5 Eagles edge the host Tigers. Jones finished with 29 points. Sam Wilson had 31 points for the Tigers.
