BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Jeremy Guthrie have agreed on a one-year contract to avoid arbitration.
The team announced the deal on Friday.
The 30-year-old Guthrie was 10-17 with a 5.04 ERA in 33 starts with the Orioles last year. His 200 innings pitched was a career high.
