GENERAL INFORMATION: MAPLE GROVE, MN. 3/4/2003: This is a profile of the housing market in Maple Grove, which is in the process of rapid expansion. More than a thousand new units are planned at the city's town center, known as Arbor Lakes. One of the newest projects in that development is an affordable rental project owned by CommonBond Communities. Marie Weaver is one of the residents.

The Opus Group said this week that it has leased office and retail on Main Street in the Arbor Lakes development in Maple Grove, and sold just under three acres of land to KF Dental Co. and Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a Kansas-based chain.

Pro Ag Management Inc. will occupy 9,179 square feet of space on the second floor, joining Brook West Family Dentistry, which recently extended its lease for 6,212 square feet of space. That means the space is 100 percent leased. Sola Salon Studios also signed a lease to occupy 4,524 square feet of ground-level retail space in the same building.

"These leases are representative of the increased activity we have continued to see throughout Maple Grove over the past few months and demonstrate the strength of this market," said Nick Murnane, real estate representative at Opus Development Co., in a statement.

The land sold to KF Dental for $225,000 is at 11301 Fountains Drive N. in the Fountains at Arbor Lakes development, and the land parcel sold to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is at 11201 Fountains Drive.
