Nystrom acquires entrance-design firm

Nystrom acquires entrance-design firm Brooklyn Park-based Nystrom Building Products has bought Arden Architectural Specialties, an entrance-design firm in New Brighton with $4.2 million annual sales. Terms were not disclosed. The deal will give Nystrom 24 additional employees and access to new markets. No layoffs are anticipated. The 60-year-old Nystrom has $33 million in revenues and 140 employees who manufacture, sell and deliver architectural louvers, expansion-joint covers and other building products directly to contractors on commercial building sites. Twenty-year-old Arden helps design entrance systems, wall protection equipment and safety stair treads. DEE DEPASS
