Northern Iowa (27-8) took down Louisville (24-7) in three sets —25-21, 25-15, 27-25 — in the early game Friday. Sophomore middle hitter Piper Thomas and sophomore outside hitter Karlie Taylor recorded 18 and 17 kills, respectively, to lead UNI and the game. Taylor also managed a double-double with 15 digs. The Panthers hit .267 and held Louisville to .159.
