January 23, 2009 at 3:25AM

North Memorial Health Care in Robbinsdale, the owner of North Memorial Medical Center, has bought Camden Physicians Ltd., a family physician practice. Camden has 18 family medical providers at three clinics in Minneapolis, Plymouth and Maple Grove. The acquisition was finalized last Friday, North Memorial said Thursday. A spokesman declined to disclose terms. Camden now will be called North Memorial Clinic - Camden Physicians. The move is part of a continuing consolidation of Twin Cities medical providers as the tough economy puts a squeeze on profit margins. North Memorial joined other hospitals in cutting hundreds of jobs late last year.
