As the buzz around his potential gubernatorial candidacy grows louder, former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman will make his voice heard at the Capitol.
Coleman, a Republican who hasn't announced his plans for the governor's race, will participate in Minnesota Citizen's Concerned for Life's annual anti-abortion rally, the MCCL said Thursday.
The rally, held on the January 22 anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, is traditionally one of the state's largest gatherings at the Capitol and could give the former U.S. Senator a chance to speak to thousands of potential activists.
Coleman, who has been rather reclusive since he lost the Senate race to Democrat Al Franken in June 2009, has done a few local fundraisers lately and released a statement when former gubernatorial candidate Patricia Anderson, a Republican, dropped out the race this week.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty is also slated to participate.
