Former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman seemingly left the spotlight for a few months after losing the late-ending Senate race to Democrat Al Franken -- but he's starting to inch his way back in.

Early last month the Republican did a few local media interviews and late last month he raised money for state House Minority Leader Kurt Zellers, once a Coleman campaign staffer.

Late this week, he'll raise money for Republicans at a St. Cloud fundraiser to fund the "upcoming Republican caucus and convention as we prepare to take on Obamacare, elect a conservative successor to Governor Pawlenty and support our local candidates for state office," according to the GOP organization.

Could the newly public Coleman be gearing up to enter the governor's race? He has said his decision will come early this year.
