No move, but another downtown building is getting a new name

October 13, 2015 at 1:29AM

McGladrey Plaza will be renamed RSM Plaza later this month, adding to a growing list of acronym-laced building names in downtown Minneapolis.

The switch, announced in a letter sent to the building's tenants, will reflect a name change for the building's largest occupant.

Tax firm McGladrey LLP, based in Chicago, announced in June that it is adopting the name RSM to more closely associate with its parent company, RSM International.

Physical changes to the building include exterior banners, interior signs, skyway signs and parking ramp signs.

Another downtown tower, currently called Plaza Seven, will see the acronym "PwC" adorn its exterior next summer. PricewaterhouseCoopers announced Monday it will move to the building then.
