With all the news about Groupon lately, you might think it's the only deal in town. But there are many group-buying websites in the Twin Cities. The Star Tribune's STeals (steals.startribune.com) launched in mid-August. (I wrote about it on my Deal Spotter blog, www.startribune.com/a58). Here's a look at three other new sites that have popped up since then, all offering daily deals at 30 to 70 percent off once a certain number of people commit to the offer. Daily Dealster

www.dailydealster.com:

Also launched in August, this site offers an interesting mix of deals, including candy from a national retailer (www.chocolate.com), Glamour Shots at Mall of America, $800 in auto repair for $99 at Sundberg's Automotive in Burnsville, and Pro Kart Indoor racing in Osseo. Next year, it will offer free brand-name product coupons.

Kgbdeals

www.kgbdeals.com/minneapolis:

This is the newest entry, launched less than a month ago in Minneapolis. The Twin Cities and national deals seem equally good (half off at Swimspot.com, food and bowling at Lariat Lanes in Richfield and dining deals at places such as Kabob's in Maple Grove).

LivingSocial

www.livingsocial.com:

After having a Minneapolis presence for months, this website just added St. Paul. Recent deals included tickets at Park Square Theatre in St. Paul, a facial package at Fresh Face Loftique in White Bear Lake, a membership to the Minnesota Historical Society, and items at Fresh & Natural Foods in Shoreview.
