Per The Big Lead comes this tweet from Chris Singleton of the Wizards:

As noted in the post, Singleton makes about $1.5 million per year. But he does play for the Wizards -- so even with guaranteed contracts, there are no real guarantees. And hey, a shot at the jackpot -- up to $640 million after jumping $100 million in a very short span -- is a powerful lure even for those with plenty of money.
