Jon Heyman of CBSsports.com is reporting this morning that the Miami Marlins have asked Toronto for permission to interview former Twins catcher Mike Redmond as their replacement for the fired Ozzie Guillen.

Heyman writes: "Redmond, 41, draws raves from his former bosses. 'He is going to be really good. He's a former catcher who was paying attention,' one major-league executive said. The one question regarding the Class A Dunedin manager is a lack of experience managing above that level. Dunedin is a 'high' A club but far from the big leagues, obviously."

You can read the rest of his report here.

Now, we're going to keep you from getting fired from your job.
