The St. Paul Saints made two pitching moves on Thursday, signing Jeff Malm and putting former Twin Caleb Thielbar on the disabled list.

Malm, 26, a fifth-round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Rays in 2009, pitched last season for Rancho Cucamonga (2-1, 1.57) in Class A and Tulsa (1-1, 2.79) in Class AA.

Thielbar, since signing May 27 with the Saints, had appeared in 17 games and pitched 22⅓ innings. He was 2-1 with one save and a 2.01 ERA.

The Saints were 3-7 in their past 10 games into Thursday's game.
