Minnesota Scene: FSN, ESPN2 combining to air 10 Lynx games

Fox Sports North will televise eight Lynx games this summer. ESPN2 will carry two more.

Fox Sports North will televise eight Lynx games this summer. ESPN2 will carry two more.

The first game on FSN will be the season opener against Connecticut on June 1. Among other FSN highlights will be the June 23 game against Tulsa, featuring Skylar Diggins, and the July 7 game against Phoenix and top draft pick Brittney Griner.

Gophers to play Florida State again

The Gophers men's basketball team will play Florida State for a second consecutive season in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge, the conferences announced Wednesday. This game will be Dec. 3 at Williams Arena. Last year the Gophers defeated FSU 77-68 in Tallahassee. The schedule:

• Dec. 3: Florida State at Gophers, Indiana at Syracuse, Michigan at Duke, Notre Dame at Iowa, Penn State at Pittsburgh, Illinois at Georgia Tech.

• Dec. 4: North Carolina at Michigan State, Maryland at Ohio State, Miami at Nebraska, Wisconsin at Virginia, Boston College at Purdue, Northwestern at North Carolina State.

Dre Mathieu, who committed to the Gophers on Tuesday, signed his national letter of intent the next day. Mathieu, a 5-11 point guard, averaged 17.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists at Central Arizona College last season as a sophomore. He has two years of eligibility left.
