The 30th Schwan's USA Cup starts Friday at the National Sports Center in Blaine. A record 1,060 teams, from under-9 to U19, are participating from 21 states and 19 countries.

• Casey Danielson shot a 70 and Cassandra Deeg a 71 at Hastings Country Club to qualify for the U.S. Women's Amateur Aug. 4-10 in Glencove, N.Y. The third qualifier was Sarah Burnham, who shot a 75 and won a three-player playoff.
