Brent Snyder of Troy Burne Golf Club and Derek Stendahl of Rush Creek GC will play for the title Friday in the Minnesota PGA Match Play Championship at Midland Hills Country Club.
Snyder edged Grant Shafranski of Hiawatha GC in 19 holes in the semifinals by winning the final four holes, going par-birdie-birdie-par.
"It was tough down the stretch and I was really pressed," Snyder said.
Stendahl reached the final by beating defending champion Jeff Sorenson of the Minikahda Club 4 and 2 in the quarterfinals and Paul Speltz of Brackett's Crossing CC 2 and 1 in the semifinals.
U, Michigan tie
The Gophers and Michigan tied 2-2 in a Big Ten women's soccer match at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. Julianna Grimes scored two goals, 11 minutes apart, late in the match to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead.
The Wolverines countered on Sarah Stratigakis' goal in the 89th minute to tie it. Two 10-minute scoreless overtimes followed.
Kailee Sharp made two saves for the Gophers (4-2-3, 0-1-1), Sarah Jackson had nine for Michigan (4-2-4, 1-1-1).

• Bethel senior linebacker Josh Dalki and St. John's junior wide receiver Will Gillach were named to the 22-member American Football Coaches Association's Good Works team. It honors players for their community service and volunteerism.
