The Saints had taken a 2-1 lead in a Texas pitchers' duel on Alonzo Harris' RBI single in the sixth off former Saints pitcher Danny Gutierrez, who struck out 11 in seven innings.
Saints starter Dustin Crenshaw, meanwhile, gave up a run and five hits in eight innings.
