Nonprofits to finalize merger

The Nonprofits Assistance Fund, Minneapolis, and MAP for Nonprofits, Minneapolis, announced they will finalize their previously announced merger on Jan. 1.

NAF provides loans, technical assistance and financial training to nonprofits, and MAP provides accounting and finance services, strategic services, fiscal sponsorship and other services. The two organizations will have a combined annual budget of $4.5 million and 28 employees.

The new organization plans to adopt a new name and seek a larger, more centrally located site later in 2017.

Digi switches audit firms

Digi International Inc., Minnetonka, announced that the audit committee of its board of directors has dismissed Pricewaterhouse Coopers as its independent registered public accounting firm and has engaged Grant Thornton as its new audit firm. Grant Thornton will audit Digi's financial statements for their fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2017.
