It was an eventful first day in the major leagues for Twins top rookie prospect Miguel Sano. here's a look from his arrival through his first hit.

Sano talked before the game and said he first learned about being called up on social media:

Broadcasters Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven discussed Sano's first at-bat in the context of other Twins rookies who'd already been called up this season.

After striking out in his next two at-bats, Sano batted with the Twins holding a 1-0 lead in the ninth. The result was his first major-league hit, even if he didn't crush the ball.

Afterward, Sano said he felt really good about his debut.

And if you need a reminder about what all the fuss is about, here's a look back at a massive spring training home run against St. Louis.
